President's Message
Welcome to the Cabrillo’s new and much-improved website! This is a very exciting time in the Cabrillo’s history. We just celebrated our 55th year of bringing quality live theatre to the local community and we are embarking on our newest season with some enthusiastic new faces, some very well-received programs, and now on-line ticket sales!
The Cabrillo is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. I’m proud to introduce you now to our all-volunteer Board of Directors who are helping me with the management of the playhouse. Our board embodies a cross section of our city and county and the people listed below are dedicated, selfless and above all, enthusiastic about the future of our playhouse.
Introductions:

Mary Crisp – Treasurer

This year we have a very exciting line up of productions for our wonderful patrons. We kick off the year with our highly anticipated rendition of the long-running Off-Broadway smash, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. We're following it up with a fun comedy-farce, Lend Me a Tenor. We've got a Christmas Jubilee planned for the holiday season and we start the new year off with the John Steinbeck classic drama, Of Mice and Men. We round out the season with the suspenseful thriller, Nightwatch and end on a hilarious high note with the Neil Simon comedy, Rumors. I hope you are as excited as we are about the season we have planned. We purposefully tried to find something for everyone!
Our Board of Directors has made great strides over the past year in upgrading the theatre. Some of our projects included remodeling our lobby and box office area, installing a new lighting system, refinishing our beautiful patio deck, upgrading our very outdated plumbing system (and conserving a great deal of water in the process) and launching our website and on-line ticket sales.
We have also made strides toward our goal of introducing new people to the Cabrillo. To that end, we've had a very successful launch of our Youth Theatre which has brought many new, young families to the theatre. We also co-sponsored along with the SC Times and Fuel TV, the first "Youth Surf Film Workshop".
I am constantly amazed by the number of people who walk through our doors and say things like, "I've lived here for many years, but never actually come inside the theatre before" a statement that is almost always followed up with, "I've really been missing out!"
So come inside and check us out. Then tell your friends and neighbors...I think you'll agree, they are in for a treat!
Thank you for your continued support of the theatre!
Sally Jeisy
President
