Rick Kerrigan - Lend Me a Tenor and Rumors

Rick most recently was part of the ensemble cast of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, and also portrayed Doc Porter in Crimes of the Heart and Caleb Thorpe in The Spitfire Grill here at the Cabrillo. He directed last season’s Happy Birthday and has written, directed and/or performed in dozens of shows here and throughout the area. A long time San Clemente resident, Rick also holds the honor of Artistic Director for the Cabrillo Playhouse. Along with our Producing Director Austin Peay, Rick and the entire Board of Directors are working hard to make the  2009-2010 season the finest ever! Rick would like to thank his hard working and talented cast and crew for their dedication and professionalism, the entire staff of volunteers (we couldn’t do this without you!) for their endless devotion to the cause, our loyal and enthusiastic audiences (without you we REALLY couldn’t do this!), and most especially, as always, his wife and baby daughter for their constant love and support.

Trina D. Klossing - Nightwatch

Trina recently directed the successful run of The Supporting Cast at the Camino Real Playhouse and Duet For One at the Orange Curtain. She also directed the popular production of Our Town at the Camino Real Playhouse and Inspecting Carol at this playhouse. Trina has been looking forward to directing Sylvia . She last directed the play about 6 years ago and is a big A.R. Gurney fan. Among her favorite plays she has directed are Rope, Romantic Comedy, The O’Conner Girls, Deathtrap, Wayside Motor Inn, Death Takes a Holiday, Three Ways Home (which she also directed & produced in LA) Don’t Dress for Dinner, Dangerous Obsession, Jitters, The Cocktail Hour, High Hopes & Heavy Sweatshirts, Fool For Love, Sorry Wrong Chimney, Eleemosynary, The Homecoming, Rehearsal For Murder, Visiting Mr. Green and Play It Again Sam .

Austin Peay - I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; December 24th and Of Mice and Men

Mr. Peay is a veteran director of more than 100 plays and musicals. From 1994 to 2000, he directed and produced several musicals and plays for South County Theatre Company. He also served as producer and director for Ontario Civic light Opera for three years and has directed several touring dinner shows for Holiday Productions. For 10 years he wrote, produced, and directed school assembly programs under his own banner, Little People's Productions. Austin also worked for Knotts Berry Farm as Show Development Supervisor and in Production Stage Management for Sacramento Music Circus, San Bernardino Civic light Opera, the Grand Dinner Theater in Anaheim and for the Mark Taper Forums “New Play Series” in Los Angeles.

Along with his professional work, Mr. Peay has been an educator for 20 years, teaching Drama and/or directing shows at both the high school and community college levels. In his award-winning high school program in Orange County, Mr. Peay “pushed my students with challenging theatrical material raising the bar as high as I possibly could with such productions as; Les Miserables, Evita, The Crucible, Much Ado About Nothing and many more equally challenging productions. My objectives and my joys were always to see my students grow and achieve richer and more meaningful levels of experience.” Mr. Peay currently serves as an adjunct professor for Vanguard University of Southern California.

Mr. Peay earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama from Cal State University, Fullerton. Postgraduate work includes a graduate degree in English, a California Teachers Credential and a Master's Degree in Education from Cal Poly University at Pomona, California.
